The hotel is set on a hillside in the centre of an historic estate in Howth, which has been in the hands of the same family since Norman times. In the past visitors to Howth castle, which remains a private house, have included Grace O'Malley, who was notoriously refused hospitality and Queen Victoria, Jonathon Swift and Bing Crosby. H.G. Wells famously described the views as the finest west of Naples.

All superbly appointed rooms are en-suite, with TVs and the added luxury of over-sized beds, The recently refurbished family rooms are very spacious and have a seating area and plasma TV.  The bathrooms are luxurious with seperate walk in shower. Our elegant restaurant, the Four Earls, offers a frequently changing menu complimented by an extensive wine list. The choice includes fresh fish direct from the local harbour.

Our leisure facilities include dpSpa and dpGym, a beautiful 17m indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and two tennis courts. There is also a lively bar, a bistro and a variety of function and meeting rooms, catering for conferences and weddings from 10 to 95 persons.
